Coffee Expo Seoul 2016 to Serve Up a Fun and Tasty Caffeine Fix

There’s no doubt about it. Koreans love their coffee.

So much so that it’s impossible to walk a single block in this country without crossing a packed coffee shop franchise, posters of celebrities advertising overly sweet mix coffee, or a cleverly designed theme cafe.

As such, it’s no surprise that one of the country’s biggest food-related exhibitions is dedicated to the caffeinated beverage.

Coffee Expo Seoul—Korea’s number one coffee industry event—will be held from April 14 to April 17, 2016 at Coex Convention Center and will be co-organized by Coex and the Korea Coffee Association.

Twice the size of last year’s show, which saw more than 33,000 visitors and 500 booths, Coffee Expo Seoul will be holding its biggest event yet.

Highlights of the 2015 program included activities sponsored by Columbia, one of the top coffee producers in the world and the event’s Coffee Expo Guest Country. At the show’s marketing stage, Colombian coffee experts educated Coffee Expo Seoul 2015 visitors about food pairings based on six different Colombian coffee regions.

Following the program’s success, Brazil will be featured as this year’s Coffee Expo Guest Country and will be featuring a number of its own cultural products related to the coffee industry.

Concurrent events will include Mint Label, a new product showcase, and the “World Super Barista Championship,” a competition for outstanding professional and amateur baristas. There is also a variety of educational forums where both exhibitors and visitors can experience the latest coffee trends.

Coffee Expo Seoul 2016 will also connect coffee businesses and buyers through informative sessions, based on topics such as “Evaluation of Coffee Flavor” and “International Distribution Plan for Healthy Coffee.”

But the expo isn’t all about business. In fact, the 2016 Coffee Expo will provide numerous opportunities for visitors to taste multiple varieties of coffee and desserts, all in a single afternoon.

Yep, you heard that right. Coffee. Dessert. All afternoon.
There’s no doubt about it. Coffee Expo Seoul is THE place for coffee lovers to gather and taste, experience, explore and talk about top-quality coffee.
