Chef’s Night In, a Preview

There’s no doubt that the culinary event of the summer is “Chef’s Night In.” Held at La Cuisine cooking school in downtown Seoul and orchestrated by KoreaBites.com, this series of events will prove to be entertaining, memorable, and oh so delicious. Seven dinner parties have been scheduled throughout June and July and each will feature a different international chef. Chefs will prepare a three course meal for attendants while giving a cooking demonstration and sharing stories of their pasts. Lest I leave out the fact that there will be an open bar serving cocktails and wine that pair with each course. The sponsor list is incredible, the guest list is small, and the idea of all of this is phenomenal.

I will be covering the event held in early July in more detail, so I’ll keep it short here. I did attend the first event, so I wanted to share a few pictures to give you all the motivation (if the open bar isn’t enough) to get out to one of these events. As you can tell, it is not to be missed!

Bacardi bartenders served up incredible cocktails to start the party off right.

Capponata made with eggplants and olives was the appetizer.

Our Sicilian chef demonstrated how to make the perfect meatball.

Premium wines like this one were served throughout the dinner.

We were quite focused on the food and fun stories. (Photo: La Cuisine)

Glorious.

The tiramasu was a sweet ending.

It was a pleasure chatting with the chefs who made our evening so lovely!

Tickets can be purchased at KoreaBites.com for 60,000 won. Check out their website to find out more about the upcoming chefs and menus.
